The idea for Qamarero was born from the experience of Antonio Bustamante, CEO of the company, during his time as a partner in the hospitality group “Puerto de Cuba” in Seville. Antonio observed the lack of efficient technological solutions that would connect the diner directly with the ordering and payment service. In 2022, taking advantage of the popularization of QR codes, digital payments and democratized access to hardware, he launched Qamarero to close the technology gap in the Spanish hospitality industry, which represents almost 5% of the country’s GDP.
